Beyond War

I have a Birthday coming up, and maybe you do too.
And there is always Mother's Day and Father's Day or Christmas coming.

Here is the concept:
Rather than have my loved ones and friends spend their time shopping, wrapping and mailing someTHING to me,
I decided to ask them to spend time for/with me in a truly meaningful way for my birthday this year.

I've been nervous about asking them to watch our Beyond War DVD, after all, I wouldn't want them to reject it.
But I got up the nerve to ask them for their time, to do just that, watch the DVD and let me know what they think in celebration of my birthday.

That concept went over so well that I asked the same of my staff at work when they started making plans for decorating and cake and STUFF for my Birthday. I don't need more STUFF or more cake or decorations for a day.

We'll see what feedback I get from all parties and hopefully they will have a truly meaningful memory of my birthday. Perhaps some of them might even want to get involved. In any case, they will know more about me and what I am doing.

And the earth will have more resources that didn't get used up for the celebration.
