Afghanistan and Opium
Hi, I am interested in sharing information with members about whether the Karzai government is implicated in opium trade. I read several credible articles (NY Times) reporting that Karzai's brother or brother in law may be deeply involved in opium exports. I also note that it is undisputed that during the Taliban's rule, opium trade was eradicated. I would like to gather data on this, exchange ideas, and possibly write a op-ed piece. I have previously written a letter to the Editor to the Times asking they to please follow up their coverage on this issue.
