Beyond War

Hi Anne,
This is great to get this going as a team, and hopefully get some members from around the country. I also think going through the Board application process would be good, since the Board has never heard the proposal for this project nor discussed the implications. Perhaps once you get the core team together we can work on this. I hope you invited Deborah Kaufman to be a member, since she has been having her students review the books.

That is a great idea. Hopefully, we can wait until the simplified application Leonora & Winslow proposed goes through Board review. That way, we could test that approach too.

Of course, this project has been around a long time and the Board is well aware of it. But, it is an important step to form a team around it to sustain it over the long haul. Thanks!

This sounds like a great project. I'm in San Diego and our group has been reading various books to learn more about ways to move the world closer to Beyond War ideas. I'll do what I can to help.

Welcome Janet. It would be very useful if you could list the books your group has read and comment on them. The most important issues to evaluate are whether they are consistent with Beyond War principles and whether they are appropriate to a public library audience. Also, since we are categorizing them, please tell us which group they best fit into: war is obsolete, we are all one on this planet, or the means are the ends in the making.

It's great to have you as part of the team.
