Hendersonville Team Activities
The Beyond War team in Hendersonville has been active in the community for several years now. They give introductory presentations to people and groups who would like to learn more about Beyond War, and they have facilitated a number of groups who have read and discussed the Beyond War study series materials.
The group is actively exploring the connections among all the various organizations which are involved in peacemaking in the Hendersonville community. Team members have convened and participated in several panel discussions at the Blue Ridge Community College in which representatives of a broad spectrum of local organizations -- from the League of Women Voters, to community dispute resolution mediators, to those committed to ending domestic violence and abuse -- have discussed how they produce peace through their work.
The Hendersonville team is currently planning a study group which will read and discuss the new book, "Living Beyond War: A Citizen's Guide". If you are interested in seeing the introductory presentation or joining a study group, or if you would like more information about the Hendersonville team's activities, please contact Charley Rogers: crogers216@gmail.com.
