LIVING BEYOND WAR: A CITIZEN'S GUIDE Two ways to engage.

We are right at the leading edge of working with the new book, Living Beyond War: A Citizen's Guide. Groups have been eagerly waiting for its publication, so they can begin. The way we are approaching this, you, and/or your group, are invited to be in on experimenting with its use:

1. as part of an online discussion group with the author, Winslow Myers. To sign up, go to: http://beyondwar.ning.com/profiles/blogs/living-beyond-war

2. as a book group study series. Each group has full autonomy and will decide:

1. their own pace,
2. how they will utilize the study questions at the end of the chapters,
3. which notes and appendixes to access,
4 what supplemental material to add, or is deemed to be needed,
5. what additional, or replacement, questions designed to deepen, expand, or personalize, would be helpful.

Each group will receive an evaluation form that welcomes all the feedback and suggestions you and your group can possibly supply. The evaluations from all the participating book study groups will be an invaluable contribution to evolving a new curriculum centered on the book. Our hope is that this inclusive method will produce a rich, full, and challenging course of study that will illuminate the soundness of the Beyond War principles and practices. We look forward to your insights!

Books are available in bookstores and can be ordered from Amazon now, (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_b?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&a...).

Please let us know:
~where and when your group will be meeting,
~whom to contact for further information, and
~where to email the evaluation form.
Please send that information to: leonora@beyondwar.org.

A "group" means more than one person; 4 to 8 people work well for in-depth discussion. Should you not be able to gather a group, please DO still read and contribute to the evaluation. Also, there will be more information available as we go along in the BW Briefing and on the website: www.beyondwar.org.

Thank you for working together to create a new guide for BW book groups.

We welcome your comments and suggestions about any part of the above, and about any other aspects related to the book. Please post them below.
