Beyond War

Thank you for participating in the January conference call.
Now, please feedback so we can get better !

Please rate on a scale of 1 - 10: 1=worst;no; 5=so so;maybe; 10=best; yes

Each person record your rating in a separate "reply to this"" panel just beneath this topic.
List just the numbers of the questions,1 thru 6, in a vertical row.
Then, dash, and record your rating number response for each question:. i.e.
"4 - 8".
"5 - 6"

Finally, write in your suggestions for question #7.

QUESTIONS:

1. Was the process sufficiently focused, clear, and specific? (as contrasted with rambling, confusing, multi-focused)

2. Was the topic, "Gaza" a good choice?

3. Were the 1 1/2 hours worth your time?

4. Did you learn anything?

5. What was the quality of your experience?

6. On the basis of this meeting, would you attend the next Quarterly in June?

7. Comments? Suggestions? (about any aspect of the Quarterly).

Thank you for completing this evaluation.

7. The stacking was a great idea and I think we will become better at it as time goes along. Thanks, Mora for keeping track of all that! What do you think about having a forum about a month before the next one asking what people want to discuss? It was obvious that this issue was weighing heavily on our hearts and I am sure there are many other current issues that people would like to discuss with the BW community. That said, I was a little disappointed that we could not share the activities going on around the country. Last meeting, I remember so well Ed Cole's exciting story about starting a dialogue with Vietnam veterans. Also, there was this one time that I was in the office a little late and I heard the first five minutes of a board meeting Mora was participating in. One of the board members (I don't remember who) was sharing this wonderful story about meeting with Nobel laureates. Both of these stories were quite motivating. I do realize we have a limited amount of time, but both these stories made me excited about BW as well as the BW community!

This was my first time to participate in a BW teleconference so I needed to observe how the process worked. I like the idea of using teleconferences to communicate and will try to paricipate next time.

7. I am grateful for any and all of your volunteer efforts to work together to build bridges & inspire listening. Every day I see the need for this creative educational movement as I witness principled leadership being compromised by politics. I look forward to merging in with organized BW efforts wherever I can. Leonora, thank you very much for our recent communications.

7. I thought the process was the best we have managed with this many people. There was a lot of up front time which was necessary to set the rules, but as we get better at this that can go more quickly. One time saver might be to have a pre-assignment to read a background piece like Winslow's history when we are discussing a substantive issue like Gaza. Also, I would like to find a way to broadcast to all the participants all the great sharing that occurred prior to the meeting, e.g. Ann Cole's rabbi's contribution.

Leonora,
I don't know why Chris and I and the Canadians are totally out of the loop on this. Did we all miss the notices?
Loni, hoping to be in on the next one.
