Anger by Thich Nhat Hahn is a great book for anyone looking to create inner peace as a means to accomplishing an world beyond war. Hahn's work is an excellent meditation on the ways in which anger can destroy our lives. Rather than rehearsing anger through venting or acting out violence, Hahn instead advocates for deeper breathing exercises that lead to deeper self examination through meditation. These practices are easily applied to all situations, as Hahn a Buddhist monk living in exile can attest to. The book is full of examples and ways in which we can all achieve a deeper inner peace. It is however overly spiritual and has a buddhist tinge to it. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to find calm from stress and personal anger as well as a great book for a discussion group. It is very much a book that moves beyond war.
